Operating in Brazil since 1977, Equant has become recognized in the market by the excellent customer service and the huge expansion of points of presence in Brazilian territory. In recent years, Equant has opened at least 3 new sites with network nodes per year, owning 45 points of presence today. In São Paulo, there is one of the 7 Hosting Centers Equant has worldwide. One of the five GCSC (Global Customer Service Center) that operates 24x7, is located in Rio de Janeiro. This customer service center has a highly qualified and trained staff, who gives support in Portuguese, English and Spanish languages.

Equant Brazil has been certified as a Cisco GOLD partner. In 2001, Equant in Brazil received an award as "Best Network Operator with VAS - IP Access. In 2002, Equant in Brazil recently received an award as "Best Brazilian Provider-Global Network". Both awards were given by World Telecom, IDG Brazil publication. Some of the main Equant customers in Brazil are: Souza Cruz, Blue Tree Hotels, DuPont, SITA, among others.
