Equant Awarded Cisco Multinational Gold Certification in EMEA

Paris - March 22, 2006 - Equant has received Cisco Systems multinational Gold certification for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), the highest standard in the region for network enterprise and support capabilities.

By achieving Cisco multinational Gold certification in EMEA, Equant is demonstrating its capabilities to offer complex solutions to multinational organizations and complements the success of Equant achieving multinational Gold certification in Cisco’s Asia Pacific theatre in 2005. Equant can more fully address the specific demands of multinational customers to bring them solutions for workforce mobility, infrastructure management, messaging, network services, network security, telephony, and extending to the complete outsourcing of an organization’s communications infrastructure.

Jean-Pascal Goninet, client executive at Cisco Systems for FT Group, said: “This latest achievement in Cisco channel certification further underlines Equant’s commitment to delivering Cisco-based solutions to the multinational enterprise marketplace. We look forward to leveraging this multinational Gold certification status to drive new joint business which delivers incremental value to our joint customers, specifically in the areas such as Security, Intelligent Information Networks and Cisco’s latest developments in Unified Communications.”

“Equant is very pleased to have achieved Cisco multinational Gold certification in EMEA, moving one step closer to being a Global Certified Partner,” said Pierre Louis Biaggi, head of Integration Services Business Unit, Equant. “Equant’s achievements with Cisco reinforces our continued commitment to providing the highest level of service and quality to our customers. Also, customers will be able to benefit from discounts that are offered for doing business with a Cisco Multinational Gold partner.”

To be designated as a Cisco Gold Certified Multinational Partner, Equant had to achieve Gold certification in at least four countries in EMEA. Equant is a Cisco Gold certified partner in: Belgium/Luxemburg, France, Russia and U.K. In EMEA, Equant is also a Cisco Silver certified partner in Switzerland and Cisco Premier certified partner in Germany, Netherlands and Turkey. In addition to the EMEA certifications, Equant is Gold certified in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and the U.S. Equant is Premier certified in Mexico and Cisco’s CANSAC region covering Central America, North South America and the Caribbean.

In January 2004, Equant gained the Cisco Global Commerce Specialization and continues to be the only service provider to achieve this status. This recognition reinforces Equant’s strong partnership with Cisco. The Equant network is Cisco’s largest Cisco Powered Network (CPN) extending to 140 countries. Nine Equant solutions and services are CPN accredited including: IP VPN, IP Dial, VoIP, Internet Direct, Internet VPN, Intrusion Detection Service, Multimedia VPN, Application Infrastructure Provider and ValueNet.
